The advantage of Facebook that I see is that it is fun and social, so it is very inviting. It doesn’t feel like a highly commercial store front and allows visitors to easily access all you have to offer.

You have a choice of opening a profile, used primarily for social posting activity, connecting and sharing or a fan page. Each page has useful features and purpose. It is generally accepted that you promote yourself and conduct your most serious business initiatives and follow up via a Fan Page.
